Current Members – Our new facility will be open to current members on September 6th. Current Members will be able to use the facility for one week before new facility members have access to the facility.
New Facility Members – New members who have preregistered for membership, or plan on purchasing a YMCA membership at our new facility, will have access to the new facility on September 13th.

Yes. Venture Church will be selling Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee. With each cup of coffee comes a serving of Social Responsibility. Money raised from each cup of coffee goes to help the people of Rwanda.

The YMCA is a charitable, volunteer-driven, community-based organization that offers a range of exciting activities designed to bring families together and promote a healthier lifestyle. The Y also gives you the opportunity to give back to your community through coaching, mentoring, or any number of volunteer opportunities.
Your membership to the Danville Family YMCA includes use of the entire facility (fitness center, basketball gym, swimming pool, child watch, and all of the group exercise programs) as well as discounted membership rates for the additional programs we offer (such as: swim lessons, sports programs, after school and summer camp, and facility rentals).
Members are allowed to bring guests. According to our guest policy members are allowed to bring up to two guests at a time. The guest MUST bring a photo ID and each guest is only allowed at the Y once per calendar year.
As a Y member you are automatically enrolled in the Y’s A.W.A.Y program. A.W.A.Y stands for Always Welcome At YMCA’s. If you are outside of the Danville area and wish to visit the area’s local Y, all you have to do is show them your Y membership card and you will be allowed to use the facility.
Unlike other gyms there are no contracts at the YMCA. If you need to cancel your membership, just give us 30 days written notice. Please be aware, however, that there are no refunds.
Membership costs vary depending on what type of membership you sign up for. Currently the monthly prices for our memberships are as follows:

Joiners Fee: The Initial joiners fee of $50 must be paid upon memberships sign up.
Extras: Locker - $8 per month.
Payment Options: Your payment options are either to make a one-time payment for the year in full OR to have an automatic monthly bank draft from a checking or credit card account.
Corporate Memberships: The Danville Family YMCA has worked with several businesses in the area to create special corporate memberships for their employees. Contact the Y to see if you work for a company with one of these memberships!
Financial Assistance: At the Y, we want to give everyone the opportunity to live healthier in spirit, mind, and body. That’s why we offer financial help to qualified members through Y Scholarships. Stop by the front desk to learn more and pick up an application to see if you qualify.
Special Memberships: We offer free memberships to all active duty military members and participate in the silver sneakers program!
The Danville Family YMCA is different from other gyms in the area because we focus on more than simply your physical health and look to strengthen your ties to the community.
Through the volunteer opportunities we offer, our programs, and group exercise classes we strive not only to make your experience at the gym a more enjoyable one, but also to introduce you to other like-minded people and form relationships that might carry over outside of the gym.
Plus, having a swimming pool, indoor track, and state of the art fitness center doesn’t hurt.
There are many things for children to do at the Y. We offer several programs for children including: youth swim lessons, sports camps, after school care, child watch, summer camp, the teen loft, and group exercise classes that are geared specifically toward kids.
Children are always welcome in the basketball gym during open gym times and in the pool during open/family swim.
We definitely plan on utilizing the River Walk Trail when we move to our new location. Some of the programs will include a stroller club (walking and running) as well as walking and running groups for other Y members.
College students receive reduced membership rates. College students are also welcome to volunteer for the Y’s mentoring programs or to volunteer to coach our sports programs.
The teen loft is an area that Y members can use for social activities, there will be Y workshops that occur in the teen loft as well as after-school programing and a transition programs for college-age members.
There will be computers and televisions in the teen loft for entertainment.
Members who are 13 and up will be allowed to use the teen loft.
The teen loft hours of operation will be from 5am – 9:30pm.
Yes, there will be Y staff members in charge of monitoring the teen loft.
Yes, the YMCA does offer child care. We offer two types of child care to our members.
Child Watch: A free service to our members who have children between the ages of 6 months and 12 years old during specific hours of the day. 8 am - 1pm and 4 pm - 8 pm.
After School Care: The YMCA picks your children up after school and brings them to the Y where the child will receive a snack, help with their homework, and a safe place to play until you can pick them up.
Child Watch Hours: 8 am – 1 pm (Monday - Saturday) and 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm (M-T). Weekend hours will vary depending class schedule and programs.
After School Care Hours: School close until 6:30 pm Monday - Friday.
Child Care is an after-school program for school age children.
Child Watch is a program for younger children that the Y offers during daytime and evening hours (and weekends).
YMCA facility rental times and prices are as follows:
Two hour pool parties: You get one hour in the game room or pool patio to eat and open presents and one hour in the pool for up to 15 people. (If there are more than 15 people in the pool there is an additional fee for a second lifeguard!)
