We believe all kids have potential and should have the opportunity to discover who they are, express themselves, and be nurtured in all their possibility. At the Danville Family Y we want to make sure that care is available to all children and that they are safely cared for and lavished with the attention they need in order to develop a healthy character with an understanding their great worth.
We offer multiple avenues of care. So whether you need your child to have a ride home from school and someone to attend to them while you finish work - or perhaps you just need someone to watch them while you get a run in on the treadmill… we hope to be able to provide your child with the best experience for your needs and for their moments apart from you.
Download the After School Flyer for more information. Download the Information Packet - fill it out completely and return to the Child Care Coordinator. Make sure you have all the info required… you will need shot records and birth certificate! CHECK to make sure your child attends one of the participating schools: Schoolfield, Johnson, Bonner, Gibson, Forest Hills, Glenwood, Westwood, Woodrow Wilson, Park Avenue, Woodberry, Twin Springs, Taylor and Southside.
What at are the FEES? There is a $25 registration fee and then $45 per week for members and $90 per week for non-members. The weekly fee is all inclusive and ensures full care of your child from the time they are picked up from school until as late as 6:30pm. Youth membership = $15 per month, this fee must be paid in order to receive member rate. If family or parent is already currently a member, member rate applies. All Day Program Fees will be $20.00 per day or $100.00 a week for YMCA members and $30.00 per day or $150.00 a week for Non-YMCA members. Breaks are not counted into the weekly fees for after school. We will have All Day Programs when all schools are out for the entire day (Christmas, spring break, school holidays, and closings.) Year round students can join the after school program after 3:00 P.M. during the intercession weeks. There must be a minimum number of 10 children for all day programs to occur.
You get your workout in - We’ll watch the kids! This is a service provided just for our members… when you visit the Y during the provided hours, our trained babysitters will watch your kids and provide them with a safe, fun and engaging environment.
